Armidale Playhouse - August 2002

Directed by Martin Mantle
Produced by Jim Harrop

By Paul Brown and the Newcastle Workers’ Cultural Action Committee

Aftershocks is a play about the experiences during and after the earthquake. A series of interview were conducted with people who live in Newcastle and those working in the Club when it collapsed. Almost 250 pages of interview transcripts were produced. Their stories, spoken using their own words, form the script for the play. At its heart the play is simple, delightful storytelling.
